Sunny
“Most folks talk about doing the right thing. Sunny just did it.”
Sunny was the kind of man who lit up a room before you noticed he had a weapon in hand. He carried himself like a man who’d outrun death more than once, not with arrogance, but with practiced grace. Lean and quick, he moved like the world could end in the next breath — and often acted like it had once or twice already.
He had brown hair, often tied back or tucked under a worn hood, and deep red eyes that hinted at both a sharp intellect and a survivor’s fatigue. His voice was often raised — laughing, shouting orders, or telling stories — but never without purpose.
He wore dark, well-worn traveling gear, fitted to favor speed and agility. A crossbow always hung at his side, and a dagger, custom-forged by Eric, rested on his hip. He was never armored heavily — his reflexes were his defense, and his will was his shield.
Relationship with Eric
- A friendship spanning over 30 years — closer than brothers
- Eric forged his dagger and a custom chainmail shirt he never got to give him
- Balanced Eric’s bluntness with wit and strategy
- Eric respects few things in life more than Sunny’s final words and what they cost him
Death & Final Stand
- Died during a werewolf raid on the Ironwise home
- Fired three bolts: two into the creature, one into the door
- Ordered Eric to protect his family upstairs, while he held the lower floor alone
- Stabbed the werewolf in the throat and face, leaving lasting scars
- Was ultimately overpowered and killed, his throat torn out
- Died not knowing if the family survived, and never saw the chainmail Eric made for him
Legacy
- The town remembers “a friend of the smith who died,” but few knew his name
- The PC he once saved may carry his memory, a story, or an unfinished promise
- Eric may still keep the chainmail he made for him — tucked away in silence
