Tamaroc

The Continent and inversely the country of Tamaroc is ruled over by one of the Sea Kings. These kings were the strongest of the Pirate lords and each took a country to rule once the Orc wars were over. Tamaroc is one of these countries with the capital being Macenti, the King's port City.

Geography

Tamaroc is a continent filled with a variety of interesting locales and environments.

Ecosystem

Many wild creatures roam Tamaroc, owlbears, wolves, bears, manticore, griffin, and many others may be encountered all over.

Ecosystem Cycles

Being that winter sets in early here and often departs late, longer hibernations mean that bears and other hibernating creatures wake up early and very hungry.

Localized Phenomena

The snows in this area can be very deep depending on time of year and setting back for the winter is an important aspect of living in the area.

Fauna & Flora

A wide variety of plants and animals roam the lands of Tamaroc depending on which parts you visit. Do prepare proper camping and defense supplies if you are going on a long journey anywhere.

Natural Resources

Thanks to the area having a good seasonal cycle much will grow here. The mountains to the north are filled with ore and are mostly untouched. If the Dwarves ever manage to get a foothold in the mountains here they may find a most pleasing home. See Macenti for local resource trade.

History

In order to get away from the Black Dragon Orcs many of the humans and elves took to the seas. The orcs were far more interested in the clan war and paid little mind to where everyone else went. After sailing the seas, the primary pirate lords would take seat as King of their respective nations each one given a special tincture to make them live incredibly long lives. Tamaroc is mostly a mixed bag of races though humans are the most populous in the settlements. Dwarves often inhabit mountain regions otherwise the humanoids tend to go where they want or are wanted. Check each sapient species to find out more.

Tourism

The guilds of Macenti and the ever popular blacksmith in Sunder means this area sees a lot of travel and open trade. The seas make this travel easy most of the time.
