Red Mill
The Red Mill is a water-powered grain mill on the southern bank of the Cobbled Stream. It stands about a mile upstream from Ashain and for some reason, no one has tried to settle or expand the town in the space between.
The origin of the name of mill is apparent when one looks at the gleaming, tomato-colored walls. What is noteable, however, is that the magically treated plaster repels all attempts to paint, stain, or otherwise color the material. The color has stayed as it is for generations, and seems determined to stay that way for many to come. Another benefit of the apparently magical treatment of the mill's walls, is that the plaster has not needed to be replaced, repaired, or even patched in anyone's memory.
