Roes' Excavation (rows excavation)

Previously known as Roes' Excavation, after the Breach-King that first established The Carcernatorum before it was developed beyond a mining industry, the massive mining complex that sits upon the edge of Kaisers Ridge has been renamed after the current Warden running it.      Currently, the majority of workers within the mine and it's subsequent processing factories are condemned prisoners; Warden Dahlia runs a tight ship ensuring that shifts of prisoners are constantly going to and fro from her mining facilities, as she has done for over two decades now. Her perfectionism and inability to waver to the morality of 'workers rights' has earned her high favour from Breach-King Jakobi, as the rare ores and steels produced in Carce are often shipped to Alendal as part of the Breach-Kings trade.    The mining industry is the powerhouse that keeps Carce running and supplied, with both armour and monetary goods - and the ores found in Kaisers' Ridge cannot be found anywhere else in the world Above or Below. As a result, the industry is highly protected by the Watch, and tends to have more law enforcement patrolling it than most of the public streets in the Carcernatorum do.

Infrastructure

The main mining complex sits on the very edge of Kaiser's Ridge, a deep ravine that splits the Carcernatorum in two. Several metal rails have been installed across bridges to allow for mining into the opposing rock, as it lies far enough underneath the Noble district to avoid causing any structural damage to the pristine part of the city above. Within it can be found a basic rest-room, for use only by supervisors, as well as an administrative office on the upper floor for Warden Dahlia to conduct business. The ground floor is reserved for minecrafts travelling to and fro, with the warehouse for storage connected to the side of the building.   Across the bridge, the Web begins - a network of intercrossing tunnels that tend to be only to be navigated by those that had dug them.   The second part of the mine is the Drop; a series of rickety foundations that lead further down the ravine to the rarer veins of ore. While it's harder to get lost in the Drop, it's also far easier to fall to an unpleasant end.

History

Despite the Centrum now being considered the main landmark of the Watch and the Breach-Kings' influence, this mining post was the very first construction made by Breach-King Roe, long before the treaty with The Hives came into place. As such, some sections of the mining outposts have built in barracks and old weapons vaults, from a time where miners had to become soldiers within seconds.
