Warden

To run The Carcernatorum while The Breach-King stays Above, five Wardens are appointed to run various factors within the city. These Wardens are considered the law and order of the island; the council may be compromised of members elected from the public, but they can only request the Wardens take some time to consider their requests. While they Most of the current Wardens were born into nobility below, with the present-day exception of one.

Qualifications

The qualifications of the Wardens highly vary; while a singular title, each Warden has a distinct and separate role from the other. The only thing in common they have is a lust for power and ties with the Breach-King.

Requirements

A Warden is high-ranking, and therefore usually elected as someone already respected within the Noble Quarters of the city.

Duties

A Warden is the authority, no questions asked. While all five are subject to acting within their orders, a Warden is above every sworn law and duty beyond their own personal ones. Typically there is a power struggle between them all, and the duties have expanded to playing the social game of favourites with the Breach-King.

Responsibilities

Each of the five Wardens handle a different aspect of the Carce; things that fall under the Wardens responsibility is the incarceration and management of prisoners, running of the Carcernatorum Watch, running of the mining outpost, running of diplomacy missions between other Sunken Islands, and keeping an eye on the city the best they can in-between. One Warden is also appointed to be the official Archivist.
