Alendal

The largest landmass out of the Remants, Alendal was once ruled by various Kings and Queens in what places weren't overly populated by Fae or creatures of the wild. The history of humanity within the country is shaky and lost to time; Scholars theorise that humanity, at some point in the far past, emerged from the Depths and began to populate the Surface due to an unknown threat. Most people dispute this as heresy; the entrances to the Depths scattered around the land are evil but powerful places, best left alone and forgotten.

Geography

Alendal is rich and fertile land, full of plains and forests; the centre contains a lake large enough to fit several small isles inside, and the surrounding area is mountainous. The Kharnam mountains split the country in two down the middle; vast and dense forests populate hills and clifftops scattered around the region. The lands that are plains are often populated with small villages and settlements, humanity preferring to avoid the wilds of the Deepwoods. To the East lies the Giants' Passage, a ravine that takes the water from the lake in the centre out into the ocean.
