College of Magics

What is it like?

The Arcane schools are all studied here. the tower is set up like a wagon wheel with most of the lectures in the main tower. The other tower is a place to do the experiments and the four main building holds the dormitories of the students. This school accepts adults from the ages of 16 years up to 55 years. In their proper dormitories building that holds that age group. Never does a wizard of thirty-year-old mage is not in the dormitories of 16- to 20-year-old. Professors live nearby in respectful estates for a wizard of their station.    

Mage Guilds

There is no mage Guild here. All mage guilds are at the Principalities throughout Vostoria. To join or be a part any mage guild one has to be a part of the college of Magics or have achieved a rank in the college. One can be a student in the college and be a part of a mage guild. The mage guild helps the mage with proper ranked jobs the mage can go do and get paid. Most low ranked mages use this coin to pay their fees to the college of Magics. Higher ranked mages get to go on bigger paid missions and a good portion of that gold goes to their research and fees of the college.  

Rune Council

The laws of Vostoria. The Rune council is the Parliament of the queendom. The queen may sit in when she decrees a new law. She and council make sure it does not hinder or remove the freedoms of the Keltori or any of the Vostorian people. The important member are as follows:
  • Arcane Dragon- Head chair, Byron Corbyn was the arcane dragon and now that belongs to Aldren Vonn, Head of the Rune council and Right hand of the Queen. The Arcane advisor of the queen. He solves the magical problems and arcane mysteries that happen in the country. His duty on the Rune council is to make sure that any petition from any of the Mage guilds follow the laws of the land, and that council cannot make any laws that trump over any mage and non-mage's rights.
  • Allin Crowley- Second chair, his love of gold, enchantments, and alchemy items. His duty is making sure the money of the council is going to keep the council funded and receiving the fees from the mage's guilds.
  • Brinna Philian - Third seat, she is passionate about the wizardry travel and families. The legacy of the magical bloodlines is important about the families. She fights for families and their accomplishments to the countries and their memory.
  • Tolia Shatter-claw- Fourth Chair, A Lurkin wizard who has an addiction problem that some of her people have. She also fights for the freedoms of all wizards. She is constantly encouraging more of her people to be a caster and join the College of Magics.
  • Mathew Olsson- Fifth Chair, Keeper of Artifacts, he keeps the records of all artifacts and what the items are about. As well, as the current locations of these items. usually kept in the Second vault in the tower of magic catacombs.
  • Lydia Uther- Sixth seat, wizard defenses and ex-battle mage of the previous queen. She retired and joined the council in her twilight years. She is one of the oldest on the council but does not care for politics but, does love arguing for Keltori and Lupin rights.
  • Liam Blackmore- Seventh seat, he is clever and patient, he knows the council and knows how to move laws that to him are more important.
  • Isebell Barrows- Eighth seat, she is kind and caring to all she meets, The Barrows family has had some trouble in recent years, but with her on the council her family might be able to show the council and Vostoria that not every member in the Barrows family is a traitor. She works extremely hard to prove herself and to change the minds of people about her family.
If the Rune council ever is in a tie to pass or not to pass an article into law the queen is the final say. She also has the power to veto or deny the law. Which if she Denies a law, it can never be voted again until the next queen. If the queen veto's a law, they have to wait out the queen if she changes her mind or try again in a couple of years.

Ranks of the College

  • Initiates- The lowest rank and tend to live at the college in the dormitories. They do not get to join any guild and have no real rank. This rank is a year and half long, if the mage stays focused and passes the general test of many professors.
  • Apprentice- This is the First "real" rank. This allows a mage to join their Principality they are from to join that guild there. They still do not get to go on jobs. yet. They're too busy helping the guild with delivering research papers back and forth to the college and back to the guild. They also help higher ranked mages in their alchemy experiments and gather ingredients for them ion the cities for the rituals.
  • Evoker- This rank is where the "real" fun begins. An evoker can now take on basic jobs and go out adventuring with a group. They are not allowed to read the Lost tomes or experiment with arcane artifacts of the past. 
  • Journeyman- A Favorite rank. (This is usually the rank the player may have to start the game.) Journeyman can tell or hire apprentice ranked mages to do their lite work. Like getting certain research papers, tomes, ingredients, giving them gold to buy them the potions they need before they go out for adventuring. Journeyman ranks allow the mage pay for Libirans to research the lost Tomes in the great Library at the College. (4 queen's coin)
  • Conjurer- This is a rank of the mage who is known in the Principality mage guild. They have probably saved the town from a zombie invasion, defeated a known dragon of great power. This rank allows the big jobs are taken. The high risk and high reward jobs.
  • Wizard- High rank mage level. Big experiments, big spells and big rituals that require 8 mages minimum the Wizard probably has the "Ma-Guffin" For the ritual to work right.
  • Master Wizard- This is the rank before becoming Arch-Mage of the guild. many mages stop ranking up here and are happy. Master Wizards get to have ALL access to the College of Magics for free. They can also become Professors at the College. You Must be this rank to be one.
  • Arch-Mage- The only rank higher than rank higher than this is the Rune council member but, no one really considers them of any real rank. Because they're just bureaucrats. Though they can sling a spell equal to any arch mage of any mage guild. The job is made sure their guild is running properly and the people are following the Laws of Magic. The gold the gain from mages go to pay the upkeep of the guild and pay fees to the College.

    The great Capital of Vostoria, the queendom of Magic. The home of the Keltori humans and lupins wolfkind people. Other people call Vostoria, but it is not the original land of those people. Such as the Elysorri elves of Blackforest anf the lurkin cat folk people.
