Deep Mennin
The Deep Mennin are Mennin that live underground in the Underdark. They aren’t evil like most creatures in the Underdark. They live in small societies in caverns and solitary from the other beings in the Underdark. Because of living under the ground for so long, their skin turned into a deep grey color.
The Deep Mennin weren’t forced into the Underdark like the other creatures were like the Mrakvallìn. The chose to live underground. They used to be Terran Mennin but since they started mining with some Dvergur, some settled in self-made underground settlements. It is said that the Dvergur, while digging a bit too greedily made the upperway (as they call the way to return to the surface) collapse. The collapse destroyed the way to the surface for the Deep Mennin. Rather unbothered (and rather glad to be rid of the Dvergur), they stayed in the Underdark, keeping themselves safe from the many dangers which reside in the Underdark.
Their small villages are built in the ceiling of the caves. Because of this they have been able to hide from most of the creatures of the Underdark. The Mrakvallìn leave them alone. They have suffered many losses at the hands of the Deep Mennin, who use their cunning to set traps for any evil creature entering their territory. Their craftsmanship equals their Terran Mennin brothers. They will help a creature in need whenever they are able too, even if that creature would have meant them harm. They care about life and want to preserve it. Many creatures respect the Deep Mennin because of this and leave them alone for this reason.
