The Braeryn
The dark shadow to all the shines that is Faer Xuruth, the Braeryn is the poorest part of the city. While this drow colony is not holding slaves, they do expect greatness from every single member of their society and they do not tolerate failures. Whoever fails to contribute to their society is left at the wayside to rot. It is a more or less fair system as only your actions have any say in the matter and wether you are a member of one of the great houses or the child of two people stuck in the braeryns you have access to all types of education to get out but unwillingness or inability to serve puts you right into the braeryns. people there are less than humans and serve mostly as medial workers for chores none likes to do. Additionally, many of them are used as test subjects for different scientific and magical experiments.
As bad as this place sounds, it still is better than many other slums of larger cities. The population gets fed and supplied with medical care for free. However they are not allowed to leave the Braeryns and they forfeited their right to use any of the technological and magical advances since they do not contribute anything to them.
