The Council of Name is the governing body of Faer Xuruth and its inhabitants. It is an oligarchic council lead by the great houses of the City. The council is led by the Whisperqueen which represents the most powerful manipulator of the weave through true names.
The current great houses that occupy the seats that occupy the seats within the council are: House Ariessus, House FaerNar, House Holimion, House Melarn, House Seltaras, House Silverdancer, and House Thandris. They are responsible for all decision concerning the total population of Faer Xuruth while the individual houses also each possess their own specializations and responsibilities which they govern individually for the betterment of the whole society.
