Renewal of Vigilance

The Dark Days are anything but in Cogys. Every light source available is lit, bathing the city centers in radiant light as if the one Three Suns had landed in each city center with paths of lesser lights webbing between them. During this time, great seminars and lectures hosted by the Eternal Library are held in each major city while the military defends their borders from any creatures of the night not repelled by the lights. Rarely seen advanced weapons of war of brought forth, some being being unveiled for the very first time. Casualties, either civilian or military, are a rare occurrence, so much so that even the guards standing a top the walls of their nation do not fear for their lives during this time. In the midst of the darkest days of Aroka, Cogys shines like a beacon, thriving in the glow of artificial lights while the rest of the world huddles in fear, waiting to see if some horror of the night or the rapidly plummeting temperatures claims them first.
