Pallium
The Lost City of Pallium is believe to have been the technological capital of the advanced civilization that dominated the Ruined Sea region prior to the Great War. Located within the Lost Mountains on the peninsula between Sonata and Novad, many adventurers have tried and failed to locate it, many of which never return from their quest.
However, word of a reliable and safer way into the Lost Mountains has emerged, triggering the Mantle of the Fallen Worldplotline.
Demographics
Pallium is believed to have be the technological capital of the Age of Ascension and likely boasted an impressive population. However, with no one having witness what remains of the city and returned, there's no way to know.
Defences
Though usually considered more fiction than fact, many tales of Pallium speak of great machines and beings made of metal that defended the city against predators that felt brave enough to prey on its citizens. It is believed that these defenders were the only thing that could hold a candle to the armies of the War of Ash, but they too fell with the rest of the world, though they did allow Pallium to stand just a bit longer than the others.
Infrastructure
Stories of Pallium that were shared during the Age of Ice and into the Age of Reclamation tell of a city that seems to defy the laws of nature with mighty structures towering into the sky or delving into the earth. Some tales even speak of great vessels that floated in the air, facilitating mass transit and trade throughout the region. Some go so far as to include great feats of science such as artificial animals and beings made of metal instead of flesh, performing dangerous and unpleasant tasks and defending the region against whatever nature threw at it.
Climate
Despite being located in the perpetually snow-covered Lost Mountains, Pallium is believed to have developed technology capable of at least influencing the weather, allowing them to overcome the cold and create a thriving civilization in spite of nature.
