Amidst the snow-covered mountains to the north of Summit(commonly refered to as the Lost Mountains) is believed to lie the ruins of one of the greatest cities of the fallen empire: Pallium. Those that are old enough to have seen it before its fall say it was a haven of technological marvels and, when the War of Ashes began, bore witness to the invention of many great and terrible weapons. Thankfully, most of these were destroyed before they could be used or else the world may have truly ended, but perhaps a few survived the purge and still lie within the ruins. It is on this hope that a parties of adventuers from the Remnant has been assembled to find their way to the lost city and see if something can be found to challenge the Gaunt invasion.
Many have ventured into the Lost Mountains in search of the Lost City of Pallium for many reasons, but few have returned and of those that did, they only brought back with them stories of danger and hardship. However, word has spread that a safer passage into the Lost Mountains has been discovered. The Remnant is rather isolated from the rest of the world, so this news reached them later than most. This has led to an increased urgency to find a way to reach Pallium as there is now a race to claim its secrets.
