Malcor Dowd
Malcor Dowd (MAHL-kor DOWD) was a Half-Drow Paladin of Conquest, Adamant Lord, and Invictus of the Castle of Cold Steel. Dowd once stood five and a half feet tall with grey skin and straight, white hair that was cut into a severe line just past his shoulders. He dressed in red and black armor thoroughly adorned with the brazen bull of Inaros. He once claimed he had never been defeated in battle, and carried himself with an extreme authority tempered only by a genteel affect that used to be thoroughly disarming. In Vespides 1945, Dowd attempted to gain the power of Drythlex for himself. He was subsequently challenged to the Akula (Inarosi rite of succession) by Morthos Ramm Blackwell, supported by a hand-selected coterie consisting of Enassar Zaphicath, Elromior Spectra, Atoruanga, Slonka, and the Furies of Ilora. Though the fight was brutal, several allies died (some permanently), and Dowd constantly resurrected himself through seemingly endless clones, in the end he was defeated through the use of a Gate spell and the assistance of Hatucan, whose dominion over transmutation and the power of dreams permanently True Polymorphed Dowd, thus ending his reign but keeping him alive. He is now a bullfrog under the watchful eye of Hatucan, residing in the Glade of the Rainbow Serpent in the Infinite Glade of Infinis. Rumors stemming from Empyros seem to indicate that Dowd and Elromior were once half-drow siblings who began their stories in the underdark of Eregoth a long time ago.
