Hatucan, the First and the Last

Hatucan ^{(HAH-too-kahn)}, "the First and the Last," "the Rainbow Serpent," is the Patron of the Order of Hatucan, and the Spectral Revolution (1944-1945) of Empyros.
They are an impossibly long, shimmering ophidian of countless iridescent scales that are at once both black, white, and every other color of the rainbow. Their face is a vision of reptilian perfection as wide as a man is tall, and three times as long. Their scales and skin seem ageless and without blemish, their eyes a bloody red and glowing as though fire lurks behind the sclera. Two massive, rainbow-colored, feathered wings extend out from the base of their 'neck' (about 1/4th of the distance from nose to tail) spanning sixty feet in either direction, and a pair of curved horns (like that of a gazelle) protrude from the sides of their brow to sweep up over their head like a bone-white halo. The air around them is thick and heavy with a perpetually imminent storm and crackling with the potential of creation; antiquiescent with the promise of infinite change.
The Rainbow Serpent was drawn from their home in the Infinite Glade of Infinis by Elromior Spectra, the Speaker of the Celestial Pact-Land, in early 1944. The two of them had met many decades before this, when Elromior sought out a celestial patron to become a warlock. They adventured together for a time, but this was the patron's first permanent residence on the prime material plane. Hatucan was slain in early by the power of the Seat Ascendant while Infernal forces at the command of Ascendant Oriana laid siege to Ilora. They were eventually resurrected in the Glade of the Rainbow Serpent by the efforts of the Furies of Ilora, who defeated the Servants of Night (worshippers of Eztli, the False Couatl ) at that location and secured the soul of Hatucan within the last remaining Rainbow Serpent egg of the Age of Strife. Shortly thereafter, Hatucan was reborn, although they remain in the Infinite Glade so as not to be slain again by the politics of mortals.
