The Oubliette

"The highest security prison in all the Inquisition. Although don't believe people when they tell you it's hard to get into. I happen to know an incredibly quick and efficient way of getting inside." - A member of The Purse, Oreion branch
The Oubliette is the Oreion Inquisition's recently built maximum security prison. It was constructed by The Idyll Keepers in the midst of the Oreion Civil War, and designed by High Iudex Trask. According to some Keepers, Trask spared no expense in the prison's construction, financing some of the construction out of his own pocket. The most dangerous criminals and popular outcriers, both domestic and foreign alike, are held within its foreboding stone walls.   Despite only being in operation for a short time, the Oubliette has already garnered a reputation for being an inescapable fortress. Situated in the middle of Victorum's river and far away from Victorum Harbor, the only way to access the prison is by boat. The towers of the prison are armed with a variety of anti-air weaponry, making an aerial approach virtually impossible. A large contigent of Keepers are always present in and around the prison, with the Sanctum Inquisitorus lending some forces occasionally if a prisoner they have concerns about is being transferred there. The facility is mainly hydro powered, relying on large water turbines situated directly in the river. Large pipes carry the water and power throughout the prison, and many ventilation shafts are needed in order to properly maintain the temperature and breathability of the prison.   The prison is divided into six different levels; three above ground and three below. Starting from the top, above ground lies the warden's office, keeper quarters, and prison ward. Moving below ground, there is the workshop, and lockdown ward. A central lift tower connects all of the levels together, and for many of the facility's denizens, it is the only way in and out of the Oubliette.   While the inner-workings of the prison are unknown to most outside of its walls, it's clear that the Oubliette is a state of the art facility. There are rumors of advanced isolation chambers, enchanted cell doors, electrified floors, and an entire underground work area for unruly prisoners. Whatever the truth of the Oubliette is, it has quickly become a symbol of the submission and control the Inquisition has more frequently demanded of its citizens.
