High Iudex Trask

Ruthless and unyielding, Arthur Trask is one of the longest serving High Iudex's of The Idyll Keepers, the highest rank of Oreion's general law enforcement. Trask has been a long standing member of the Keepers, earning the position of Iudex at a remarkably young age. In 1001 3A, he was awarded the position of High Iudex by Pontius Mengsk, after proving his loyalty and dedication to Oreion and the crown after the Battle of the New Dawn.

Those who have encountered Trask personally often describe him as having a cold and even somewhat cruel demeanor. Some attribute his disposition to his role as Victorum's chief protector, stating that it is a sign he takes his duty extremely seriously. Others believe Trask is incredibly corrupt; using his status as High Iudex to intimidate and control the populace and Victorum at large. Opinions on Trask have always been incredibly divided, even before his ascension to High Iudex. Many of these opinions are not stated publicly, however, given Trask's influence over the capital.
Trask wears a custom set of armor tailored for the High Iudex, an enchanted full suit of plate mail. His signature horned helmet depicts an Oreion bull, the symbol of House Trask. He is also known to carry two swords with him while on duty, which can connect at the handles into a dual-bladed weapon.
Though many of his critics will reluctantly admit that Trask is at least loyal to Oreion and its ruling houses, there are those that continue to question his motivations, especially given recent developments during the Oreion Civil War. The construction of a new prison complex within the capital's limits and the attack on the Halcyon Tribunal have caused many to speculate. While maintaining law and order is necessary in a country as vast as Oreion, whose law and order is really being enforced? And for what purpose?
