Lien-Da
"Would you like to see why they call me...the Screaming Tyrant?" - Nex, shortly before rending the moon asunder.Named for the elvish term meaning 'Watchful friend', Lien-Da is one of Arkos' two moons that orbit the planet. It is a large celestial body, though it became somewhat reduced in size in 1001 3A when it had a piece of it torn off and thrown at the planet's surface. For the majority of the First, Second, and Third Ages, most on the planet believed it to be the only moon Arkos had. However, after the banishing of Nex - The Screaming Tyrant after the Battle of the New Dawn, a second smaller moon appeared in Arkos' sky. Named after the Ancient Eclipse - The Moonwatcher, there are some scholars on Arkos that believe this second moon has always been with the planet, and was simply hidden from the denizens of the world through magical means. There are even a small number that believe that the new moon is in fact the original and rightful celestial body of the planet, and that Lien-Da is something else entirely. Despite its beauty and prevalance in many of Arkos' more dominant cultures and religious followings, there are some on the planet that believe that the prescence of Lien-Da is a sign of terrible things to come. Given its current wounded state, and with pieces of it still littering the countryside of Crescentia, there are those who believe that the only thing the large moon illuminates is a grim future devoid of hope.
