Last Landbound War

In the end, we can never know as we only have stories handed down from Before the Time of Tige and Talla.

The last generations of the The First Age saw the great Dragon Lords of Argentii fighting among themselves for breeding territory away from the dangerous People. By the time the war was over, more than half of the living dragons had been slain by their peers. The tribes of frightened people took advantage of the strife to unleash powerful magics against the dragons, thanks to the intervention of U the Chaotic.

In order to protect themselves -- and their breeding grounds -- the dragons banded together to rip the leylines from the ground and leave the people without magic, and the continent torn asunder.

The Conflict

Battlefield

The conflict raged across the continent. In the air, on the sea and beneath the waves, on the land and under the ground. There was neither safety nor stability to be found during the worst periods of strife.

Conditions

The long lives of dragons would offer years of tranquility, only for an entire region to be razed when a dragon's slow and vengeful plan finally ripened and bore flaming fruit. For generations it seemed that any foothold of the people would be torn apart the moment it began to thrive.
