Ruins of Tor'Dorsha

Purpose / Function

Tor'Dorsha's purpose was to focus the high energy area it was built in. This allowed the priests and seers to communicate with the Gods.

Alterations

The building was once part of a budding city, but a war had destroyed the city, amd Tor'Dorsha was left in ruins. It is currently the only 'building' in the area.

Architecture

Tor'Dorsha is shaped like the typical shape of the religion Maker and her First Children. It has a main circle structure, with five circles built around it. Even as a ruin, there is an expensive look to it.   the main circle is tall, with many carvings around it. The main structure is made of wood, but the stone carvings reinforce the structure around it. It has a sort of 'reversed gazebo', where there is an inner courtyard. The courtyard used to be fully enclosed, with coloured glass lighting the plants growing inside.   Each circular offshoot has the same wood build with stone carvings, but each is decorated to represent each different God.    In the current time, the roof of the main circle is completely caved in, and no glass remains. Much of the temple has been looted, and even some walls are caved in. A large tree now grows in the very centre of it.    The interior of the main circle has no rooms, and is very open. No one was allowed to live in this temple in order to maintain its pure energy. There used to be sitting areas and bookshelves all around the central courtyard. The floor had expensive coloured stone tiles, and all around the walls were carvings, tapestries, and relics of history. Currently, plants grow between the tiles, and the walls are empty minus the carvings in the wall.

History

There are many locations in Argeddon with high energy/magic levels. While this is not as potent as other areas, there is still a large field of energy existing. Animan priests were able to locate this area, which is atop an extremely large hill, and built a temple to focus the energy and communicate with the Gods. The city was later destroyed in a war.

Tourism

A final test that wannabe priests in Giea have to undertake is a pilgrimage to Tor'Dorsha.    The main character of the story, Skya, will have to travel to Tor'Dorsha to speak with Mirnas, where he will make her his champion.
