Maker and her First Children

Mythology & Lore

Tells of the Creation of the World

Divine Origins

Developed among the Animen. Since Animen are imbued with magical energy, they have a close connection to the Gods (or they did before magic was banished to the edge of the world). This is the true religion that does exist in this world. However the other religions are still true to a degree with their interpretations. For example, in Zhuhism, Fira'zhu is Alitheus.

Cosmological Views

In the beginning, there was only Maker, a golden woman who wandered the World. Through ages of searching, she discovered she was alone. Lonely, she decides to use her powers to create, and her first children were born. She gave her First Children some of her power, and they transceded into Godhood. Their actions built the world that we see today.

Tenets of Faith

Each God have their own tenets of faith.

Worship

Each God is worshipped differently. Each has festivals falling on significant times throughout the year. The Temples are arranged with a central room or building, and five offshoots arranged around it

Granted Divine Powers

Upon death, the faithful become spirits to serve the gods. It is typically a service of luxury and carefree attitudes. The less faithful will return to the mortal plane to begin a new life (reincarnation).   Someone may also be chosen to be a 'Knight', and represent the God on the mortal plane. A God will usually do this if they have an agenda and wish to interfere in mortal affairs. For Animen, this involves sacrificing their current form and become the animal that represents the God. For example, if an Animan is Knighted by Mirnas, their form will become a white Tiger with black stripes. Each Gods animal is a non magical creature (not a dragon, flying whale, giant scorpion, etc..)
