Greetings! It is so rare to see visitors to our great city! Welcome! Welcome! I am Selendrum! I am the owner of Hearth! The best, and only tavern here in the magnificent city of White Spire! Sorry, I am a bit nervous, you would be the second group of customers I have ever dealt with. Hehe. The White Spire Kingdom has only recently opened it's doors to those who wish to visit their lands, adventurers specifically. This was mostly due to the fact that only one group of adventurers has ever made it to White Spire alive from the settlement of Gale. You would be the second! Congratulations! You must be cold! Oh and your poor familiars and mounts! Come! Let me bring you to my tavern. I have stables to keep your mounts warm, sheltered and with food and drink for your them. Your familiars may come inside my tavern and reside with you in any room you desire to rent. Yes, let us sit by the fire. Warm yourselves. Do you not have Runes of Comfort? They help keep you comfortable in the cold or heat. No matter, we will get to that later. Now while you warm yourselves I will answer any questions you have about White Spire. The people? Ah, we are Ice Elves my friend. As of now, only Ice Elves reside here but the King has declared outsiders like yourselves to be welcomed provided you abide by our laws. So technically, you could live here if you wanted to, open a business and the like. Language? Oh, well all of us speak Elvish but many understand Common as well. Not all mind you, but many. I must ask friend, despite my gladness as meeting new adventurers, what brought you to our lands?

Defences

The entire continent of the Frozen Kingdoms is under a constant blizzard with hurricane force winds, and constant lightning storms. This makes all forms of travel, let alone attacks, by air impossible. The only known creatures to be able to fly in this are the native White Dragons. Surrounding the city of White Spire itself is a 100 foot tall wall made of Ever Ice. The Ice Elves have lined the embattlements with Ballistae, Catapults and an entire contingent of their best archers. In addition to this, it is said the walls are warded by ancient magics known only to the Ice Elves. The defenses are not meant to destroy invaders however. No, they are meant to keep the invaders in the lands of the Frozen Kingdoms. You see, the Ice Elves count on their own land to destroy any invading army. The harsh and unforgiving cold that seeps into the bones and leaves naught but a frozen corpse. Assuming the creatures of the realm do not get them first.

Industry & Trade

The main export from the White Spire is Ever Ice. However, this is also complimented with unique goods made from the creatures and plants native only to the Frozen Kingdoms.

Guilds and Factions

Caelan: The Defensive force of the Ice Elves.   Cold Spears: This is the standing army of the White Spire Kingdom.   Northern Rangers: Elite Ice Elven Rangers who are masters of the land. Expert hunters, scouts, navigators and when needed, assassins. They serve as the eyes and ears of the White Spire Kingdom.   Frost Wolves Clan: A clan of Ice Elves who serve as expert calvary that ride into battle on the backs of Dire Ice Wolves.    Howling Wind Clan: A clan of Ice Elves who are experts in wielding Storm Magic.   Iron Ice Clan: A clan of Ice Elves who are experts in creating powerful magic items using Ever Ice.

Points of interest

Hearth: This is the only tavern available to non-natives. The establishment is ran by the owner and barkeep, Salendrum. It has twenty rooms available for rent, a sizable stable to keep mounts warm and cater to them, a small stage for performances, a fighting ring in the basement and an area set aside for gambling. The tavern also has a section of a wall cleared completely with arcane runes drawn upon it. This serves as a portal to Spark and Flame's Magnificent Emporium of Magical Items and is the only one in the White Spire.

Climate

The temperature within the walls of White Spire is a constant, and comfortable to the locals, 20 degrees Fahrenheit. This is due to magics used to keep the temperature regulated. Outside the city walls, the temperature drops to a bone chilling -20 degrees Fahrenheit. If one factors in the blizzard with it's sporadic hurricane force winds, it drops ever further to a death gripping -50 degrees Fahrenheit, on better days it will be a -35 degrees Fahrenheit instead.
