Third son and fourth child of King Maitiu Ainros and Queen Kirin Rutach.
Practically nothing is known of Rael, save that he was a supporter of his brother King Redham against a faction seeking to replace the ineffectual monarch with his own son, Prince Griin. Many know that King Redham was slain by a stray arrow to the neck before the battle of Great Cross, and many have blamed the prince his son for this strange death. Far less remembered is that Rael, Redham's greatest champion, would die in battle shortly following this strange death.
