Glorylands of Tsirakan
The Tsirakan Triumvirate claims command of the Turmalidal River in Northern Olveiria, the most fertile land in the continent. It has no ports and no mines, but it does possess a large army for its size: one of the benefits of the most centralized government on the continent.
Several other nations are dependent upon Tsirakan's crops, often leasing out parts of their armies and even selling promising youths into the Tsirakan military. Tsirakan's uniquely disciplined army protects the Turmalidal from Yorqora raiders and guards the hill folk of Ssugiyliaal to the south from the Rohai to the southwest (for which they enjoy immense control over the Ssugiyliaalese mines).
Tsirakan is ruled by three queens or prosai, called the Three Faces of Ushmirim. Queens are generally selected for their expertise in a particular discipline (most often war, commerce, and the sciences), but all decrees can only be made by unanimous decision. When a queen dies, her replacement is chosen from the priestesses of Ushmirim, Dei of Creation, and only by agreement between the two living queens. History records only one instance when two queens died at once, with their replacements being chosen by Yasamir the Wicked. The following years were called the Time of Sorrow. Tsirakan has a cultural mistrust of singular rule.
