This is delightfully disgusting! I love the Exploits section; there will always be capitalistic efforts to make money off anything, so I think that fits well here since it seems like no one should want to go near it for any reason whatsoever. I also love a river that straddles the line between cursed and religiously revered!

That's sounds like a river I would never want to be close at. Imagine the stench. Cool idea thought and also interesting how some people even manage to get benefits from it.

What a good use of space for organizing this article. While some images would be nice, it doesn't feel like an overwhelming wall of text. I love the idea of the river being a barometer of the world and inching towards doom or hope.
