Structure

High Judge - The official spokesperson of the legal institution, who communicates between High Court and Westport.
Judge - Handles criminal cases, both within and outside court. It is through the judges which any legal action need to be approved before the Westport Guard can act out on it.
Jury - Reviews cases and information before the judge. They serve as the middle hand between the citizens and also the assistants, and that of the judges.
Assistant - Lawyers, guards, errand runners and other people that help the institute run properly and smoothly.
Bounty Hunter - Outside agents sent to bring criminals or runaways into court against their will, or in some cases their heads. Depending on the judge's judgement.

Culture

Although much of Westport is corrupt, the Clockwork Institute remains a solid foundation of legal matter and justice. While they work closely together with both the Vanhal and D’alexandre families, they by no means heed the aristocracy and believe that it's one of the highest dishonors to besmirch the legacy of the institute as well as the laws which gave birth to the citystate. Their culture hence is often very strict and by the books, where members of the institute can often be seen as walking around with sticks up their rears or beeing too formal. Even though they serve an important part in ensuring the security of everyones best interests.

Public Agenda

The institute is well known, feared, reveered and hated, as their goal to cause as much hell as they can for the corrupt aristocracy is seen both as a good and a sordid ordeal among the populace. Their hatered sometimes unjust persecution of non-human individuals are directly mirrored by their quest to ensure the citizens of Westport can live worthy lives of freedom.

Assets

The organization owns a large court building on the Fairlight Isle district, within Westport. They also have a good amount of wealth and employ's a majority of the Bounty Hunters within the citystate. As persecuters of monsters and the occult, they also own a minor science facility that is directly tied to the institute. Known as the Magitech Clockworks.

All that is buried in snow comes to light, eventually.
