Tee Shirt

Tee shirts are articles of clothing that originated primarily in its current from Hauflin urban centers in Avalon. Traditionally they have short sleeves and a round neck line or crew neck. Tee Shirts were originally undergarments but in modern times became their own major fashion statement and an integral top in various fashion styles including causal wear and streetwear.       The precursor was an undergarment mean to be worn under the uniforms of soldiers in various hauflin military and naval units. As the Downturn of the 4100s hit across the Ecumene region, the tee shirt became commonly worn by farm and ranch workers, followed by industry factory workers soon after. Slowly them and veterans would wear them as casual clothing spreading the trend towards civilians. Once entertainment stars began to wear them, it codified the tee shirt as as fashionable, stand-alone, outerwear. Slowly other humanoid races often in contact with hauflins such as fairies, homins, and more would adopt the style with it become unisex and for practically all races around the world.   Pretty soon tee shirts would be decorated by the people wearing them in order to express themselves. This would lead to certain companies incorporate logos in their tee shirt designs to promote their brands.

Significance

Once T-shirts became an established causal clothing item, they have also doubled as a form of cultural expression. As stated before, companies and fashion designers have also made T-shirts to market their products and brands.   However, T-shirt designs have also been used for more covert applications. In the late 4200s, various environmental groups had made up their own logos from their causes. This eventually lead to certain eco groups collaborating with anti-consumerist and anti-capitalist groups to develop a secret code that appears to be abstract logos. As such members designed their secret codes and symbols to be worn on T-shirts, where everyday people and companies would simply see odd personal logos, those in the know would be able to send messages to each other in plain sight.
