Stonehaven
Built on the bottom of a large cliff face, Stonehaven is one of the larger and safer settlements in the in the east.
Around the town is a solid stone wall, built from the rock of the cliff to the cover the town, its constantly maintained to keep the forest at bay.
The town is well known for its quarrying and stone but mostly as the site of a repository of knowledge from before The Fall.
The College of Arcanists maintains the collection of the ancient tomes and artefacts, which has increased over the centuries as both new and rediscovered knowledge is added. Rumour is the college will pay high prices for anyone willing to delve deep into the ancient ruins of the old empires to recover books and manuscripts.
Inns and Taverns
The Greenheart Hearth
A cozy inn and tavern with a large stone fireplace in the center, around which patrons gather to share stories of their forays into the forest. The building is made from forest wood and reinforced with enchanted stone.
Nalara Beambumble runs the place, she is a halfling with a passion for storytelling and brewing. Her specialty is “Forest Bloom Ale,” a drink made with rare herbs found in the woods.
The Cliffbottom Retreat
Located near the base of the cliff wall, this is a quieter, upscale inn catering to visiting scholars, merchants, and adventurers who prefer a little more comfort.
The proprietor, Velenius Duskthorn, is a retired wood elf adventurer with an eye for fine wines and rare vintages. He keeps a cellar stocked with curiosities.
The Wanderer’s Rest
A rougher establishment catering to Seekers and other adventurous types. The walls are covered with trophies from the forest—clawed hands, strange skulls, and preserved plants.
The owner is Garr Flint, a grizzled human who it is said led his own Seeker chapter in the west but retired after a disastrous expedition.
Shops
Verdant Vault Apothecary
Specializing in potions, salves, and magical herbs, many of which are harvested from the forest by daring gatherers.
Ran by Sylara Mossgrove, a half-elf with a deep connection to the forest. She has an uncanny ability to identify useful flora and an array of recipes for alchemical wonders.
Runestone & Relic
A magical shop focused on enchanted items, scrolls, and talismans. It has strong ties to the College of Arcanists.
Owned by Alden Trillus, a human mage and lecturer at the College who funds his research through this shop.
Stoutforge Smithy
A blacksmith specializing in durable weapons and armor designed to handle the unique challenges of the forest. They also sell enchanted gear made in collaboration with the College.
Working the forge, day and night is Drogar Stoutforge, a dwarf craftsman known for their unbreakable weaponry and fiery temperament.
Trail’s End General Goods
A general store selling provisions, tools, and basic adventuring gear.
If you need to stop by, Berry Quickstep will be happy to lend a hand, a halfling entrepreneur with a knack for knowing what people need before they ask.
Other Points of Interest
Seeker's Hall
A high walled compound near the edge of the city. Like most of the Seekers Halls, It's part barracks, part training ground, and part war room.
The Head Seeker is Roderic Vayne, a halfling warrior who rose to prominence after defending a caravan from a raid by a hobgoblin war party.
The Cliffside Shrine
A holy site dedicated to the forest spirits of protection and nature, carved into the cliff wall. Locals and travelers alike leave offerings here to safeguard against the forest’s dangers.
Here you can find Sister Meriel Dawnspire, a Forest Gnome cleric with a serene demeanor and a talent for healing magic.
Market Square
A bustling marketplace where traders from within and outside Stonehaven gather. Exotic goods from the forest are sold alongside staples like bread and textiles.
Highlight: Kai’s Curios, a stall run by a mysterious tiefling merchant who deals in rare trinkets with strange origins.

A mostly human town since its founding, but a large population of forest gnomes, halflings and a thriving dwarven community
Government
A council made of representatives of the wards of the town that represent the major trades and people. They will elect a chair as the prime representative of the town to others.
