Discovered by Hanazyo Kesumi and kept a secret from Illuminate ever since, the Iubati are unique in that they're one of the closest species to Avali in the galaxy.
Namely, because they share a common ancestor with Avali.
For what it looks like, proto-Iubati were abducted by forces unknown for reasons unknown from Avalon and then resettled on a different planet, that could support them.
With different evolutionary drives, Iubati ended up evolving pretty different from Avali, with pack structure giving a way to slightly more individualistic tribes.
One of the outcomes of this was large-scale warfare between Iubati states, culminating in them nearly managing to collapse their own civilization via widespread usage of nuclear weaponry.
However, this same weaponry gave them way to the stars, by the means of nuclear pulse propulsion, as well as lead them to meeting Avali in form of Hanazyo Kesumi.
While such first contact did cause a massive shock to Iubati society, they've withstood such a challenge of leaving their cradle and are currently working together with Hanazyo Kesumi to learn more about their own history, especially relocation from Avalon.
However, this research is slowed down by the fact, that HK is not quite sure, how well'd Illuminate react to learning about Iubati...
There is, due to the aforementioned secrecy, suspicions of the entire race being a complete fabrication by the
Hanazyo Kesumi.
