Flame-Touched Troll
These are trolls that lived on Teranik before the Rift-spawned corruption when the Planal Incurison happened. Many of the young born after this event were genetically corrupted in some way. Those born in or near the Plane of Fire shadowed areas. Many of these became flame-touched, also called fire trolls.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Similar in some ways to the fire dwarves of Volcanus. Like most trolls they have arms longer than their legs, hanging well below their knees, which lends them a hunched appearance. They gain the outsider type, elemental, and fire subtypes, so are swathed in fire (including the aura/heat from a fire).
Biological Traits
Flame-touched trolls walk upright but are often hunched over, and walk with an uneven gait. They seem awkward but they are very agile. A typical fire troll stands 10 feet tall and weighs 600 lbs. Females are slightly larger than males.
They are fearless, attacking larger foes or when outnumbered with no regard for their life. Launching themselves into combat with no hesitation, often in a berserker rage.
Genetics and Reproduction
Females choose their mate and have a large brood.
Growth Rate & Stages
Their young are only breastfed for the first week, afterward, they eat meat almost exclusively. They live in gangs their own age, with an adult to oversee their teaching and survival training. After 4 months, they are fully grown.
Ecology and Habitats
Fire trolls living in the Danakil Desert and other areas of high volcanic activity. They have no problem surviving the heat as it's natural to them, heat doesn't bother them, only cold.
Dietary Needs and Habits
They are primarily carnivores but can eat anything without harm.
Biological Cycle
They are vulnerable to extreme cold and will fall into a stupor if the temperature drops below 30 degrees.

Social Structure
They have a matriarchal society, females are in charge, except for the war chief. As with most trolls, they live in a tribal and clan structure.

They are often used as shock troops by various armies, especially the Atlanteans.

Its bestial face is hideous, with a broad face, overhanging brow ridges, and tusked underbite.
