Dinoterran, Ancient
No one alive remembers what truly happened while they were below, how they lived, or what they ate. As soon as they reemerged, they began searching for food to eat. While the vegetarians could find food almost anywhere, the Carnisaurs soon began turning on their brethren. Luckily, they brought some of the sunstones with them. As soon as they started to think of eating their comrades, they cried in pain, reared back, and fled.
It took them years to learn how to create buildings, but soon many showed the signs of psionic abilities so were able to move things with their minds as the larger saurians had no hands. The smaller humanoid saurians seemed to become creative and innovative more quickly as they had the use of hands. The larger saurians soon wished for this advantage as well. It took many years for this evolution to happen, but more and more of their offspring changed over time to gain more and more advantageous abilities.
One day the first humanoid Saurian was born. They named him Urasu the First, as he was the first humanoid Saurian born. Soon many more followed in the next fewgenerations and most of the Ancient Saurians passed on. Not all of the Ancients left this mortal coil, however, the ones that didn't soon decided to find a secluded valley near the Forbidden Mountains. Not all of the Ancient evolved as much bodily, some like the Brachiosaurus only evolved in mind and psionics. Most of the aquatic and aerial Saurians were the same. The Dinoterran, Carnisaur because of their more primitive, undisciplined minds, and an uncontrollable appetite for flesh had the hardest time. Only a few of these barbarians ever evolved sufficiently to change. Any primitive mammals, birds, and insects that stayed around the radiance of the sunstones had a chance to begin to evolve, but again this would take many generations as they weren't in the tunnels with the Ancients.

Historical Figures
- Knut is their creator goddess, they believe she was a real person that lives with them in the World Beneath, she nurtured them and kept them safe they whole time they occupied the caves. She is their hero and savior. The other gods/goddesses were her husband and children (Hours, Sobek, Marul, and Ippy. They all appeared in the forms of humanoid Saurians, but much more evolved. Of course, none of this was apparent to their primitive minds, but now they remember it as a dream (as if it was a gift of racial memory).
- Urasu the First, is the first of the Ancients to pass over into the humanoid evolved form of the Dinoterran, Saurian.
