Personal history
Derek much prefers living in the deep woods or the underground, anywhere he can stay in the shadows. He likes exploring the woods and tunnels away from civilization and hunting the monsters found within. When young, he found Digger and saved him from a group of goblins, kobolds, and wererats. Afterward, they became lifelong friends. Digger is a Dachund riding dog, they both now have a grudge against them and now count them as enemies.

He only has a basic education, not much more is needed for a woodsman.

He has worked as a Woodsman and a Deeprunner.

- Met Oric on the road traveling outside Cauldron. Encountered a Hill Giant, Yeager died in the battle. I couldn't seem to do damage. For our kindness, the blind man Oric intervened and made the battle never happen.
