Ansible Communicator

This communicator has allowed FTL communication across the Universe. The physicist Shevek Rualg is a brilliant scientist from the planet Anarres, and his studies of Simultaneity led to the development of the revolutionary  Ansible communication system. 
Each communicator must be connected to a master device that networks all nearby devices in a galaxy. This device can link many devices to each other throughout the known universe. There is no delay with this near-instantaneous communicator, sending and receiving messages to its paired device, each device has an address embedded in the signal. 
A ansible technician must be used to install, and tune before it can be used. This can take anywhere from a couple of days to a week (or longer), depending on how far from the Starlanes the location is.
The master device must be on a planet, this has something to do with the gravity field, but the secondary devices can be anywhere. This machine uses Magitech Krystal Technology. 
The creator was born on [Avalon, he is from the  [Aetherian civilization. The interesting thing is that Shevek was denounced as an Indegene, he later became a Starfarer.

Utility

This is a very useful technology, that keeps the [Aetherian civilization connected even when they are traveling the starlanes.

All components used in this technology are off the shelf, except the crystal and is programming.

Inventor(s)

Shevek Rualg is a brilliant scientist who has anarchist leanings. He is also an Indegene and has been under scrutiny for his past friends. Most of his work was done on the moon, but because of his friends' antics caused a disturbance. Soon he was barred from the moon and sent back to Avalon. He finished the Ansible soon after he left the moon, he was discharged from his job and sent to a northern reserve to be with the rest of the Indegenes.
