The Modern Wood Elven Pantheon
The Modern Wood Elven Pantheon are a group of Deities revered by the Wood Elves of Apa Axas. While more organised than previous iterations, the Modern Wood Elven Pantheon is often at odds with the more dogmatic High Elven Pantheon due to its inclusion of both Beacons & Travesties. The Wood Elves do not worship the evil gods as such, but rather pay tribute to them as to not envoke their ire, and to maintain a natural balance amongst the heavens.
The gods of the Modern Wood Elven Pantheon appear as Beasts and Spirits, and are seemingly able to transform between these spirits and a more recognisable image. In addition, they often appear as one of four aspects; each representing their domains.
The Modern Wood Elven Pantheon is as follows:
- The Vida Quda. The Vida Quda appears as a kindly blonde woman with machinery replacing parts of her body. She also appears as a spirit Deer, and is made up of four aspects; The Embracer, The Mother of Wounds, The Invented and The Coward. She is often prayed to for hope of a bright future.
- Feny Lekki. Feny Lekki appears as an old man, constantly bursting out into fits of laughter, who always appears in the corners of one's eye. He also appears as a spirit Owl, and is made up of four aspects; The Trickster of the Fey, The Lamplighter, The Kindly Bartender and The Weakling. He is often prayed to for a wisdomous past.
- Gloom Mona. Gloom Mona appears as a young woman, cloaked in black, with an obsidian eyes and hair woven from the night's sky. She also appears as a spirit Cat, and is made up of four aspects; The Saviour of Them, The Beast of the Woods, The Traveller of Night and The Lonely Soul. She is prayed to for a safe present.
- Surm Tutdrug. Surm Tutdrug appears as a grey-skinned shaman who weaves weapons with his mind, and sets them to shape with his rage. He also appears as a spirit Bear, and is made up of four aspects; The Stoic Prince, The Blacksmith of the Void, The Relentless Force and the Wrathful. He is prayed to during funeral rites.
- Drelux. Drelux appears as an emaciated feminine Giant, with a bound upper face and a rictus grin. She also appears as a spirit Crow, and is made up of four aspects; The Restful Healer, The Dark Dreamer, The Fearful Fateful and The Wicked Witch. She is prayed to before young Elves enter their trance, so they may be guided through the Astral Plane safely.
- Zemer Epsh. Zemer Epsh appears as a flaming skeleton wearing a cloak made of sheeted skin. She also appears as a spirit Flame, and is made up of four aspects; The Passion of Fire, the Structure of Spines, the Everlasting Orgasm and the Burning One. She is prayed when by the campfire for protective warmth and dismissal of predatory beasts.
- Retch. Retch appears as a frenzied tornado of shining shrapnel. He also appears as a spirit storm, and is made up of four aspects; Father Nature, The Whirling Storm, the Lightning King and The Dread Ocean Lord. He is paid tribute to ensure calm seas before departing on a voyage.
- Thija. Thija appears as a carnival ringmaster baring puppet strings. She also appears as a spirit frost, and is made up of four aspects; The Torturer of Crimson, The Teacher of Lies, The Just and True and The Joyful Maiden. She is invoked before a mercy killing, to ensure the dying soul is properly sheparded.
