The Vitalis School of Arcana (vy-TAL-iss)
Settled deep within the dusty red sands of the land east of Cethandir is a lonely institution, a bastion of arcane scholarship situated in a rather out-of-the-way location. Unlike many other schools for arcane study, the Vitalis School of Arcana is not nestled within the heart of a megacity. It is unusual in its isolation from the wider world. The School possesses a degree of secrecy aided not just by its cloistered location, but also by its extremely selective admissions processes; the School is known to accept only a handful of students into its Masters of Arcana program each year. Beyond the sheer fact of its existence, little else is known about the Vitalis School of Arcana.
The Vitalis School of Arcana became the focus of increased national attention in Nightwinter of 717 when one of the school's alumni, Madam Novia Celsa, rose to the rank of Magelord of Vay and appointed multiple other alumni as Consuls. Despite the attention turned upon it, the School has thus far evaded much understanding.
