Leto Melite (LEE-toh meh-LIT-ee)

Leto Melite is the current Consul of the Department of Justice in the New Federation, chosen as such by Madam Novia Celsa upon her ascension in 717. Melite served as chief clerk to the Grand Court for nearly 400 years, and after the Grand Court was destroyed when the God Machine fell upon Vay Proper, they are undoubtedly the individual with the most knowledge about the highest levels of the Federal justice system. Melite was one of the few senior Grand Court clerks left unmarred by scandal during the Judicial Crisis of 713, in which it was discovered that several other senior clerks had been accepting bribes in exchange for expedited handling of judicial matters.
