Izuth

The island of Izuth is home to the Ikos people. At one point in time the island was one of humble origins. The Ikosian people lived in relative harmony with the land around them. It wasn't until merchants and explorers from other regions of the world did they realize, or rather, were told, how different they were. After a time it was discovered that the veil between The Weave the prime material plane was thinner here. While many other areas can have an ebb of flow of this phenomena, the island of Izuth was consistently so. This caused, slowly over time, a gradual mutation within its people and the creatures that call it home.
There is much speculated history about the island. What isn't speculation is that the indigenous Ikosian people have a special connection with the Weave. It is with this reason that The Enclave chose this place as its home.

Localized Phenomena

The Weave is felt strongly on the island. Those born with The Mark are especially in tune with the island. Magic is also affected here, causing even the simplest of spells to either be far more potent or disastrous for the practitioner. Because of proximity the island has to the Weave itself, naturally occurring weather patterns are sometimes infused with spectacular lights. If one were to watch a rolling thunder storm off the coast of the island, one could swear that there were tendrils of fire that streak across the sky or lightning that skittered underneath the ocean.
