Sumarria
Sumarria is the name given to the island where Sumarr set up his great city. The island furthest to the west and the largest island is The Sumarrian Empire. On this island, the Dragon Emporer rules the empire from Sun's Last. There are a few mining towns inland but almost the entire population of the island is on the eastern shores, west past the mountains is considered dragon territory.
Geography
The Island has a string of mountains, some of them volcanoes, down the middle. Forests surround the mountains and trees often grow in the cracks of stone, the tops are usually snowy and many of the volcanoes have hot springs on their slopes. The edges of the island are fertile soil that has been largely cleared for development and farmland.
Climate
The climate tends to be warm near the shoreline but gets colder as you go up the mountains. During the summer some of the lower mountains are completely free of snow but for most, it simply encroaches downwards in the winter and retreats up in the summer.
Natural Resources
The farmland is especially fertile allowing the island's massive population to feed itself without as much land use as other countries would need. The mountains are also rich in iron, coal, and other metals.
