Sáileagan (shi-LAY-gan)
The Sáileagan is the ocean surrounding the Land-Courts. Within much of the Sáileagan lies the Court of the Roaring Waters, with massive underwater cities devoted to the Lady Whose Voice Shakes the Land, or the Voice of the Sea. Travel over and between the cities is regulated but currently allowed, as the new era of peace following Ellis'fiyr's rule has enabled the Roaring Waters to settle into ambivalence over lesser land struggles.
Geography
The geography of the Sáileagan varies greatly. Its depths reach past the midnight zone, lightless pits and caves that house magnificent and strange aquatic creatures.
There are several coral reefs in the ocean; the shallow-water reefs stay in warmer, tropical waters, but there are a few deep-sea reefs, where light is either dim or entirely absent.

Natural Resources
Corals are used in a variety of ways, from building materials underwater to various everyday items on land. Coral farmers ensure the resource is clean and protected.
Various fish products are farmed as well-- caviar, oils, pearls, bones, and meat are just a handful of the products a healthy fish population can provide.

Tourism
In times of peace, faery from all Courts are welcome in the Sáileagan, as trade and tourism enriches the ocean environment and allows bustling underwater cities to grow.
Many land faery like to take vacations in the Sáileagan, going on tours of its many cities. More adventurous faery like to go to the deepest of the cities, where the only light available is that crafted specially for land-dwelling faery on city streets, while other more hesitant faery prefer to stay above the twilight zone, where sunlight is plentiful and strong. Cities that rest in the sunlight zone are known as cities who "face the Queen of Light's embrace", while twilight zone and midnight zone cities say they "see the embrace of the Moons' Monarch" and are "embraced only by the Night's Herald", respectively.
