Heinrich Trestin

His Royal Highness Heinrich Trestin, by the grace of Susanne, King of Lugia, Grand Duke of Susannestadt and Lord of the Golden Fields
— Official titles of Heinrich Trestin
Heinrich Trestin was the King of Lugia from 1293 Church to 1319 Church. He was also the father of the current king Leopold Trestin.

The Good King

Heinrich wanted to keep the peace in the world. Throughout his reign he was doing whatever he could to repair relations with the Republic of Truso which were damaged by the conflict his father started. Heinrich was also trying to create better relations with the High Kingdom of Erell. He employed one of the Lugian Elves and sent him to the elven capital of Alveslott as an ambassador.

Death

King Heinrich died in mysterious circumstances in the year 1319 Church. He was last seen leaving the royal castle with 4 guards and the court mage. From that group only the court mage returned. He said that they were ambushed by elven skirmishers and the king was killed. Elven raids on the Lugian territory were common, but they never went so close to the capital. As the new king, Leopold, was only 12 years old the law dictated that a regent was appointed. By tradition the new ruler's living parent is to serve as regent, but the queen passed it to the court mage. The mage was more experienced in diplomacy and warfare.
