Sha’lador

Might Makes Right

Overview

Theologically opposed to Terramere , the two have been at war for centuries though recently tensions between the two nations have cooled and some even say there are emisaries travelling to and from the two nations with plans of truce, peace, and possibly even an alliance.   A large and aggressive nation, Sha'lador has never managed to overcome it's constant internecine wars, with each tribal lord claiming only they have the strength to lead. Coup's and assassination are commonplace, and even accepted by the populous, on the grounds that anyone who is truly strong enough to lead would not be so easily deposed.   It's neighbours of Edoa and Osiria have their own plans and defenses in place but if the day should ever come when Sha'lador truly unites then they would likely drown the eastern continent in a tide of bloodshed and violence.   The current Grand Matriach is Vola Beastheart, a formiddable woman who some say killed her previous husband, the Grand Patriach Lortar. Her royal consort Tok now sits in Lortar's throne, unable to ascend as he cannot lay claim to have defeated Lortar himself, but is instead empowered by Vola as her equal, to a greater or lesser extent.   The capital of Grum is the closest the city has to true civilisation. Frontier towns are starting to grow but the majority of the population is nomadic, or live in insulars tribes, warring and raiding against one another. Grum was once the same but has since grown and evolved into something larger, more organised, and even more dangerous than a warband of orcs: A City.
