Summary

The legends tell of a strange folk that appeared on the shores of Sauria one day. These folks stood on two legs, had no scales or feathers, lacked any sharp claws or teeth, and were completely missing a tail. At first the 'Raptor-Folk' were curious about the new comers, but this curiosity quickly turned to rage as these strange folk began looting their sacred sites, killing their 'Sauropods', and stealing the 'Raptor-Folk's' eggs. The 'Raptor-Folk' fought back with the ferocity of a hundred Tyrants and were eventually able to chase the intruders off the island. However the strange folk placed a curse on the island continent, and weakened the magic of the area.

Historical Basis

This legend is believed to based on real life events of the 'Ancient Ones' discovering Sauria from the perspective of the 'Raptor-Folk'. The curse mentioned at the end of the legend is believed to actually be when the world's magic levels crashed.

Cultural Reception

Because of this legend, when the Kinfolk eventually find the island the 'Raptor-Folk' are immediately hostile. However the presence of a 'Large Lizard Folk' that defends the the Kinfolk is enough to get them to back off.
