Anatomy

This tall, muscular folk resembles a bipedal lizard. They are covered in scales, have long thick tails, clawed digits, and a toothy snout. Many populations have various spikes and frills as well.

Biological Traits

Breathing 'Large Lizard Folk' are capable of holding their breath for long periods of time, but they still must breathe air.
Swimming They tend to be excellent swimmers, and use their long tails to help propel themselves through the water.
Temperature Tolerance Being cold-blooded, 'Large Lizard Folk' do extremely poor in colder regions.

Genetics and Reproduction

'Large Lizard Folk' are egg layers. They tend to have a lot of eggs per clutch, for few young survive to adulthood.

Ecology and Habitats

Native to the warm marshes and swamps of the 'Scaled Continent', the 'Large Lizard Folk' are people of the sun.
They are very protective of their territory.

Dietary Needs and Habits

There is little that 'Large Lizard Folk' can't eat, though they do tend to prefer meat. Much of their time is spent fishing, hunting, gathering, and scavenging.
A few tribes are cannibalistic when it comes to their dead.

'Large Lizard Folk' live in patriarchal tribes of up to 60 individuals. Those with magical abilities are more likely to be in positions of power.
The concept of individual home ownership is practically unheard of, and living spaces is shared among the whole community.
