A mountain range that forms a broken crescent in the ocean to the west of the 'A,O. Homeland'. Together with the Dura Mountains it forms a large ring around the 'A.O. Homeland'.

Geography

The Serpent's Teeth is comprised of several hundred tall and jagged islands jutting from the ocean around the 'A.O. Homeland'. They are part of a massive mountain range that is mainly hidden under the water. Islands to the north and south mainly jut straight out of the ocean, while the islands to the west start tilting outwards.

Ecosystem Cycles

The islands are often battered by storms, and massive waves for most of the year, making it basically impossible for anything except the toughest of fauna and flora.

Fauna & Flora

While the waters around the Serpent's Teeth have a variety of aquatic life, the islands themselves are nearly devoid of life. No fauna lives on the island full time, however most of the bigger islands are used by Golden Breasted Guillemot as rookeries during the summer season when ocean storms are less common. These birds nest almost exclusively on these islands due to the lack of natural predators on the islands.

Natural Resources

There is little in terms of natural resources on the islands that could convince sailors to go anywhere near the dangerous waters near the islands, let alone trying to get on the islands themselves, which are frequently being beaten by massive waves. Some individuals have attempted to reach the islands believing that powerful artifacts have been hidden on the island, or wanting to collect Golden Breasted Guillemots and their eggs for their personal collections. Most of these expeditions ether resulted in the hired sailors loosing their nerve and sailing away before reaching the islands, or with their boats being bashed against the islands and lost.
