The Conflict

Prelude

To run their farms on cheap labor, several rich farm owners purchased Wood Elves that had been kidnapped from their arboreal home. Having never been out of their trees these Elves were traumatized, and did not perform as well as their masters had hoped, which resulted in frequent beatings and abuse.

Deployment

It was a rainy, muddy day when it all happened. One of the Elves had collapsed from exhaustion out in the fields, and one of the farm's enforcers had begun to beat him to try and force him to continue to work. The other Elves became extremely distressed by this abuse, and in the heat of the moment something strange happened. A flash of weirdly colored lightning struck nearby, and all of the Elves felt pain. They could feel themselves changing, their fangs grew longer, nails changed to claws,and their muscles felt like they were going to rip out of their own skin. Not realizing what was happening, other enforcers began striking at the Elves that had collapsed to the ground from the sudden pain. One of these Elves, when about to be struck, reached up and easily grabbed the weapon before it could strike him. Realizing how strong he had become, and how strong the enforcer now smelt, he lashed out with a primitive rage that he had never felt before. The others quickly followed suit, and the enforcers were soon dead at the Elves feet, their throats ripped out and the Elves covered in blood.

Battlefield

What the slave owners didn't know, was that their farms were established near a 'Magic Well', which transformed the Elves into Vampires when it reacted to their intense emotions. When the rebellion started they were out in the fields, with little in terms of cover from the newly transformed enrage vampires.
