In the year 1 TD, or 2790 HM, Andaria in its entirety is shaken by tremors. Many sensitive magical artifacts are interrupted for several minutes. This event is retrospectively interpreted as the arrival of the first of the Old Ones: Yog Sothtoh.
In the year 1 AD, or 2790 HM, Andaria in its entirety is shaken by tremors. Many sensitive magical artifacts are interrupted for several minutes. This event is retrospectively interpreted as the arrival of the first of the Old Ones: Yog Sothtoh. The begin of the Time of Destruction was marked by the arrival of Yog Sothtoh, an Outer God coming from far beyond the stars, he opened a gate through which many horrors came. Among the horrors were some other great entities like Ahzwaor a worm that could devour whole planets, Hastur a giant floating being able to harvest the souls of many creatures at once. Cthulhu who wreaked havoc on the coastlines of Andaria and last Nyarlathotep. All of these beings fought the mortals who were aided by the gods. During this time several of the gods betrayed the rest of the pantheons and allied themselves with the horrors that came from beyond. Centuries of brutal, bloody war followed, but at the end at high costs the mortals and the gods won. Banishing these horrors to outerplanar prisons in hope of them never returning. They catched all but Nyarlathotep who hid himself among the mortals. Not much is known about these horrific entities that appeared one day and their names are spoken with fear. Many tragedies occured during this time, like the sinking of Goldhaven. Through all the hardship, some good things were achieved. The darkelves, who had been bound to Keltoras will for centuries were finally free, and the war was won. This marked the end of the time of destruction.
