Nyarlathotep

The Lurking Shadow. The Corrupter. Nyarlathotep.
It is not exactly known when it was summoned into this world, but its first appearence is dated by sages in the year 221 TD when the Convergences of Worlds occured. Some estimate that it is also to blame in some form for the revolution in the kingdom of Krostov. Nyarlathotep is somewhat different from the other Old Ones from different points of view. Most importantly is that it was never caught and therefore was never banished, possessing at least one avatar in the Material Plane. The most intriguing factor though is that contrariously to the other Old Ones, who follow patterns that are for humanoids often simply unfathomable, Nyarlathotep ways seem often easy to understand; it simply seems to relish and enjoy in the chaos that brings corruption. Followers of it proclaim that it is not he, who actually corrupts, but that Nyarlathotep only reveals the corrupt people, showing their true colours, which cannot completly be neglected. For everywhere Nyarlathotep passes through abusers of power fall and socially established arrangements like the slavery system in the Caliphate Jakkur erupt in disarray. Nyarlathotep has the ability to shapeshift into any form imaginable, but mostly interacts with humanoids as a humanoid itself, posing as charismatic leader figures, captivating and spurring those around it.
