Keltoras

Keltoras, the lesser god of lies and deception. He took firm grip over the darkelves when they sought turning away from the gods in the beginning of the Second Age, loosing his influence only towards the end of the Third Age, when Eydreen sacrificed herself to banish Keltoras into a demiplane from which he cannot escape on his own. Before he got banished he and his darkelves claimed the large cave system below Andaria, enslaving any unfortunate soul who wandered below. Sages say his last words before being banished were: "I will be back! All darkelves will bow their head before me once more and on that day, I shall release Uroboros!". Today it's forbidden to warship Keltoras in many nations, although smaller cults of believers can still be found around Andaria. The darkelves nowadays punish the worship of Keltoras with death. His portfolio includes corruption, deception, intrigues and lies. His domains are Darkness, Evil, Patience, Planning and Vengence.

Depiction

Keltoras often took the form of a young elf in long robes of grey and purple colour. His symbol is a purple snake grasping its own tail, on grey background, called Uroboros.

Holy Day

With the banishment of Keltoras his Holy Days also have been revoked. His originally most important day was on the winter solstice, the 21th December, as it is the longest night of the year. This Holy Day has been taken over by Iolatan.
