Iolatan

Iolatan is a greater god of magic and nature. His symbol is a staff crossed over an oak branch. During the Age of Discovery he created the elves, the humans, the halflings and many other races giving him the nickname "the father". In the beginning he only granted elves the right to use magic, but upon seeing dwarvish ingenuity, he decided it was a gift meant to be shared by all races. His clergy includes many druids, wizards, rangers and keepers of peace. During the Time of Destruction he constructed the prisons for Ahzwaor, Cthulhu, Hastur and Yog Sothtoh with the help of Serk Klongrun and Orolin Firebeard. His portfolio includes fatherhood, magical talent, nature and secrets. His domains are Arcana, Creation, Knowlege, Magic and Nature.
Depiction
Iolatan is often depicted as an elderly elven wanderer with a hood hanging over his face covering his eyes and nose, leaving only the chin and mouth visible. He wears a green cloak made of leaves and carries an oak staff.
Holy Day
The follower of Iolatan celebrate midsummer and midwinter. As during the summer nature is at it's strongest they celebrate huge feasts with lots of alcohol and music. Whereas in midwinter they sacrifice what they can spare to nature and pray for a good year.
Commandements
•Knowledge is the key, for ignorance leads to destruction.
•Study magic. No one knows the true boundaries of what is possible and what is not.
•Live in harmony with your environment, adapt it to your needs but also adapt to nature.
•Destroy any sign of the Old Ones. They're too dangerous to ever be set free.
