Ahzwaor

The Great Devourer. The Everlasting Hunger. Ahzwaor.
It was the last of the Old Ones that had been summoned by Yog Sothtoh in the year 227 TD. Its first appearance was in the capital of Sekarlin, where he emerged as a monstrous worm-like creature swallowing the city within minutes. Some sages reckon it being the most dull of the Old Ones, apparently often only relying on its basic instincts and its everlasting desire to feed. A more scarce, but also more nuanced view hints that is actually feasible to communicate with Ahzwaor through worship and offering luxury goods or sacrificing what is most important to oneself. Cults that actually revered the Great Devourer offered their wealth and preached a life of Cynicism were left unharmed by Ahzwaor and its spawns. Many Sekarlins after having lost everything and seeing their homeland turn more and more to dust started venerating Ahzwaor. It was banished in the year 299 TD, but destroyed until then a gigantic piece of land turning it into the Sekarlin Desert.
Ahzwaor is venered for achieving abstinence, bringing prosperity of mind and hardened resolve. Its domains are Abstinence, Frugality and Gluttony.
